The public reaction, however, has been less complimentary. Several voices have declared Pantone of being completely "Pantonedeaf." Trend analyst Mandy Lee described it as "a let-down." Others have compared it with coded promotion of problematic concepts seen in recent advertising.

Okay, it's to be hoped they're cheerfully oblivious that this isn't the best moment to be pointedly celebrating whiteness... So, how should I rarely near a runway use this information in my world? I just painted my kitchen ceiling white, is that enough?
