In a new development, a Los Angeles court official agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of foul play, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".
